Terrier Renews Contract with Rennes Until Becoming One of the Highest-Paid Players in the Team.

The Terriers have renewed their contract with Rennes until 2026, signing them on for another season under new manager Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The deal was signed by the French club's president and chief executive officer Jean-Michel Aulas at a ceremony in Paris on Tuesday.

Aubameyang has been one of the most successful players in the history of football, scoring 178 goals in 445 appearances for the club. He is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in world football, and his performance this season has been particularly impressive.

Alesco also confirmed that the club had made a "significant investment" in the player, with the €90 million transfer fee being paid to Rennes. The move comes after a tumultuous period for the club, which has struggled to compete with some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Alesco said: "We are delighted to have secured the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been a key member of our team over the past two seasons. His performances have been exceptional, and we believe he will bring valuable experience and leadership qualities to the club."

Aubameyang has been a regular in the Rennes squad since joining the club from Wolfsburg last summer. He has scored 30 goals in 54 appearances for the club this season, including three hat-tricks.

The signing of Aubameyang comes just months before the end of the current season, and the club looks set to be a strong contender for European football next season. They have already booked a place in the Europa League, while they will also face tough competition in the Champions League next year.
